Yesterday, the unimaginable happened, as we all may be experiencing, schools across Arizona (and other parts of the US) have closed due to the threat of the Coronavirus and the need for social distancing. I have been working from home for a little over two years now, but not with a toddler AND a Kindergartener at home all day, so I spent all last night and this
morning scouring the internet for different resources. Make sure to check them out below and one thing that has always helped us and me especially is sticking to a schedule so I included an outline of what our typical day looks like. I hope these resources will come in handy for you and will give you time to do your own work while your children are still able to learn at home.
Let us remember in these troubling times our children are looking to and learning from us. Instead of panic and hysteria, let's come together, help each other, use our resources. And PRAY. And don't forget to take the time to play with them and explore with them, let them remember these times with fun 1:1 time with you. We may never know if we overreacted, but I would rather say that we tried everything we could instead of we didn't do enough.
God, patience, and kindness be with you all. And don't forget to wash your hands.
